For a special 70th birthday high tea celebration hosted at a private residence in Hyderabad, we curated an intimate and sophisticated high tea soirée for 90 guests. Set outdoors, this early evening gathering was styled with the charm of an English garden — lush, vibrant, and beautifully moody.
The Setting
The sprawling garden was transformed into a picturesque, curated space with a palette of blues, whites, and yellows. We crafted a floral story featuring exotic blooms like hydrangeas, proteas, delphiniums, and oncidium — adding a fresh, globally-inspired touch to the decor.
To anchor the space, two large trees were adorned with hanging lanterns, while smaller lanterns were scattered across the venue, adding a soft, ambient glow as dusk set in.
The Experience
Guests were welcomed to a beautifully styled grazing table featuring artisanal treats, cheeses, and savoury bites — all thoughtfully selected to complement the high tea theme. A dedicated tea bar offered a curated selection of teas, perfectly paired with the food menu we designed for the occasion.
Each table was styled with:
Classic blue and white chinoiserie jars paired with elegant crystalware.
Soft linen tablecloths in delicate patterns, evoking a refined garden party feel.
Tall silver candle stands with taper candles, lending a touch of vintage sophistication.
The Details
A custom welcome console featuring vibrant florals, candles, and curated styling served as the perfect vignette to greet guests. We also designed a tiered wooden shelf display filled with fresh flowers and candles, creating a charming rustic accent within the garden.
The Vibe
With live music, the soft flicker of candlelight, and a gentle evening breeze, the evening carried an air of quiet elegance — a beautifully personal and memorable celebration to mark a milestone birthday.
